A comprehensive 7-week curriculum designed to inspire young artists through various mediums like painting, sketching, and collage. Each session focuses on exploring creativity and building fundamental art skills in a supportive group environment. Week 1: Drawing, back to basics, properties of pencils, charcoal etc. shading techniques. Draw a still life which covers something spherical,cylindrical and a cube. Looking at light and shadow. Drawing game...I’ll prepare more fun images to draw. Week 2: Mandalas drawing and styles. Picasso game to finish Week3: Colour theory. Paint a seascape or sunset in watercolour, a simple weave to follow. Week 4: Cut out a clay piece and allow it to dry for the week. Watercolour painting, a colourful native bird. Week 5: Acrylic painting, first coat of paint to clay project, followed by a simple flower painting. Week 6: Animal painting, prepared by using oil pastels followed by acrylic painting. Modge podge clay piece. Week 7: Prepare a halloween mask, followed by a collage landscape. Tutor: Breege Kilcullen Location: First Floor - Art Room Included: All materials - wear old clothing!
