Art Classes & Private Groups
We provide art classes for children aged 6-12yrs, teens and adults too! Covering a multitude of mediums and style allowing our students to experience every art form to the fullest. Our art mentors will walk you through everything step by step.. We have recently moved to Shop street where we finally have our own art studio which is located on the 2nd floor and can hold up to 15 people! We provide all materials for our weekly classes and run extra events such as life drawing, private groups, hen parties and much more..

Children's classes for 6-8yrs
A comprehensive 7-week curriculum designed to inspire young artists through various mediums like painting, sketching, and collage. Each session focuses on exploring creativity and building fundamental art skills in a supportive group environment. Week 1: Draw a still life which covers something spherical,cylindrical and a cube. Looking at light and shadow. Properties of pencil and charcoal. Week 2: Drawing; Basic portraiture. Light & shade. Picasso game to finish Week3: Colour theory; Paint a Landscape, The Reek in watercolour, a easy weave. Week 4: Watercolour painting; a colourful native bird. Pick a stick game. Week 5: Christmas cards; A small bit of printing, with some lino cut. Week 6: Animal painting, eg. Reindeers... Christmas decorations, Baubles... Week 7: Christmas tree decoration.... Week3: Colour theory. Paint a Landscape, The Reek in watercolour, continue weaving. Week 4: Watercolour painting, a colourful native bird. A robin. Pick a stick game. Week 5: Christmas cards. A small bit of printing, this age group may be able for basic lino cutting and printing. Week 6: Animal painting, eg. Reindeers... Christmas decorations, Baubles... Week 7: We’ll make a Christmas tree decoration.... Painting to create cards for family and friends. art classes for adults 'brush & brew'
Embark on a creative journey through our comprehensive seven-week art course. Students will explore multiple mediums and techniques in a supportive group environment, guided by an experienced instructor and designed to build skills from week to week. Week 1: Portraiture, Looking at the basic properties of pencils, charcoal, light & shade, drawing features of the face followed by a drawing of an interesting face. Week 2: Drawing; Portraiture continued. Week3: Watercolour; painting a portrait, keeping options open incase they fancy something else. Week 4: Watercolour; painting landscape, A local scene. Week 5: Acrylics; painting a bird, e.g a robin for Christmas. Week 6: Acrylics; painting a christmas scene. Week 7: Collage or own project. Christmas cards if there's interest from everyone.
